Subea Olu 120, Snorkeling Observation Buoy

The Olu 120 is DECATHLON’s latest innovation for snorkeling. It allows everyone, without putting their head under the water, to observe, talk, and share while enjoying the underwater landscapes

Our design teams developed this observation buoy for children and adults who want to explore the coastal seabed without putting their heads under water.

What is the OLU 120 observation buoy?

The Olu 120 is a new way of snorkeling. This DECATHLON invention makes snorkeling much easier. The Olu 120 is an inflatable product that allows you to observe the seabed without putting your head underwater, while remaining supported by an inflatable structure. Snorkeling becomes more convivial: with your head out of the water, you can move, talk and chat, while still observing!

How to choose the size of your OLU 120?

The OLU 120 is available in 3 sizes: Why? The users stay on the top to observe, so several sizes are necessary to be in the best position to observe, depending on each person’s size. Therefore the size depends on the user’s weight. Size S: For a weight less than 90 lbs Size M: For a weight between 90 and 145 lbs Size L: For a weight over 145 lbs

What is the point of the clips on the sides of the OLU 120?

The clips on the sides can be used to attach several OLU 120 buoys side by side. Stay together, keep an eye on the kids, or simply enjoy the experience together, thanks to this small, easy-to-use accessory!

Why is the OLU 120 inflated in 2 steps?

The OLU 120 is inflated in 2 steps for 2 reasons: - first, to limit the formation of condensation. This is where the OLU 120 is innovative, because it has an air circuit that prevents condensation from forming when being inflated. - second, for your safety. If one of the chambers is accidentally punctured, the second one is still there to support you. The large black valve at the rear is used for quick and easy deflation.

How to make the most of the OLU 120?

The Olu 120 is covered with a transparent film that offers a clear view, without deformation. To make the most of it for longer, take good care of it! Avoid anything that could scratch or cloud the film, like sand, stones, sunblock or other abrasive or greasy products.

What can I do if there are reflections on the OLU 120?

Depending on its position, the sun may cause some slight reflections in the viewing chamber. No need to panic. Just use your hands to create some shade, and you can carry on observing.

What can I do if there are patches of condensation on the OLU 120?

The air circuit prevents condensation from forming in the Olu 120, but small patches of condensation may appear on the top of the bubble, especially when getting out of the water. Don’t worry. Once back in the water, the condensation disappears. All the walls reach the temperature of the water and the condensation evaporates.
